Good evening folks, hope you're all well and have enjoyed your well deserved weekends off?!
Matchweek 30 kicks off on Wednesday morning, not to mention Matchweek 31 on Sunday, so with a busy week ahead, here's a brief update of what went down week before last, plus your latest leaderboard update !!
Matchweek 29 kicked off a few weeks ago, when, high flying Aston Villa drew 2-2 with even higher flying / champions elect Liverpool and with FA Cup wannabee's Crystal Palace heading to FA Cup winners Newcastle in a couple of weeks time, this weeks fixtures consists of just 8 games.......anyway, back to last weekend and in the first of only x2 draws, we saw the resurgent Toffee's hold the visiting Hammers 1-1. In the other draw of the week, Shitty.......oops sorry, Man City drew 2-2 with Brighton & Hove's Seagulls, a team (for the uneducated), that were all set to drop out of the football league completely as recently as 1997...........hang on, when was that nearly 30yrs ago ?!?!
Elsewhere (namely the South Coast), Wolves tonked The Saints 2-1, Forest tore the Tractor Boys a new one in their own back paddock 4-2, The Bees stung (...I thank you) The Cherries 2-1, Ruud's Foxe's lost out to Ruud's old employer 3-0, The Spurs got 'Cottaged' 2-0 and in the North London Derby...........needless to say it was "1-0.......to the Arsenal" !!
In our comp.....table topper Rob bagged an impressive 5 pointer, as did 3rd place chasers Simon B, Eli and our George, but victory this week comes in the shape of (in a Sesame Street stylee).............number 6 so please stand and join me in rapturous applause for your Matchweek 29 winners ...... Megs, Ally, Richie, John, Shane, Boothy, Mike, Jake and Leon. Well done peeps, bloody legends, the bloody lot of ya, kudos to you all !!!
Here's your current top 5, for a full leaderboard check out the website, which also has your link to this week's picks...........get on it !!
