Good evening lady & gents,
Week 3 done and Wolves have a point............thank you Nuno and everybody else associated with Notts Forest, it wasn't pretty, but we'll take it, 1-1, thank you and goodnight.
Moving swiftly on.................
We were in good company this week, as joining us in the 'one point crew' were Arsenal, courtesy of their 1-1 draw with the high flying seagulls, Chelsea, also drawing 1-1 with Crystal Palace and that man Eberechi Eze and The Cottagers of Fulham gifted the newly promoted Tractor Boys with their first point of the season, in the weekends fourth 1-1 draw.
Table toppers Man City and Liverpool both went 3 from 3, West Ham falling victim to yet another Haaland hattrick in a 3-1 defeat, Ruben Dias kindly putting one in his own net for the home side, giving them brief hope at 19 mins. No hope whatsoever for Man Utd, 3-0 loss at home to arch rival, bin dipping scousers, courtesy mainly of one Mr Casemiro ?! If you fancy a laugh (every week at the moment), watch Mark Goldbergs commentary LOL.
The Toon Army were left smiling following their 3 goals vs Spurs, not so happy with Dan Burns own goal after 56 mins bringing the game to 1-1, but fortunately for the Newcastle faithfull, Alexander Isak hit the net before the whistle, giving the Geordie's the 2-1 win.
Villa gave Leicester their second defeat of the season in their 2-1 win, leaving them sitting pretty in 7th and one place above them, the mighty Bees are buzzing in 6th place having put lowly Seasiders to the sword 3-1, with the visitors bagging their consolation goal in the 95th minute.
Last but by no means least, who else but The Toffees of Everton, providing us with possibly the biggest bottling performance you will ever see. Undoubtedly in full control of the game 2-0 with only 3 minutes of regulation time to go, (87 mins to be exact), having given their home crowd possibly the best performance in a year. Fast forward 10mins to the end of extra time and as the whistle blew, Bournemouth took the spoils 3-2 winners with...........needless to say, the Goodison crowd were not happy. Everton propping up the rest of the division, dead last.
As you will have seen from the table, our mate Liam E was victorious this week with 7 points, not bad considering we had 4 draws.........well done dude, rapturous applause and kudos to you from all concerned.
Liam's win rockets him into second place alongside Ricki and usual suspects (and previous comp winners) Simon B and Rob, but 10 points clear is early pace setter Callum. Kudos also to Thomas, sitting all on his own in third place on 20 points, nice work fella.
Week off this week for international fixtures, so have a relaxed weekend, and when you feel obliged, stick your Matchday 4 picks in (link below, or on the website).
