Matchweek 35 done and dusted, meaning only 3 weeks to go !?!!?
We had a 7 goal thriller at The Theatre of Nightmares, 4-1 to The Bees with 73 minutes on the clock, but The Red Devils managed to bring it back to 4-3 at the whistle, a result that see's them 15th place on the table, one point ahead of Spurs.
Over at The Emptihad, City (namely KDB) showed Wolves how it's done, as it doesn't matter how many times you hit the bar, it's the shots that hit the back of the net that count, final score 1-0.
Newly crowned Liverpool, having taken their foot off the gas, went down 3-1 to Chelsea, a result that leaves The Blues tied for 4th place with Newcastle and with Europa League football pretty much guaranteed, they have more than a sniff of taking that up a notch to Champions League?!
Meanwhile, cup flops Aston Villa have possible Europa conference football in their sights, maintaining 7th position in the league following their hard fought 1-0 victory over Fulham, as do The Cherries, having stuck it 2-1 to bottlers supreme Arsenal. Quote of the week from Man Utd legend Patrice Evra this week "Supporting Arsenal is like watching Netflix....you are always waiting for the next season" LOL.
In the battle of the bottom dwellers, The Foxes beat The Saints 2-0, a game that saw the ref knocked over and duly replaced, shortly after which Lord of Shithousery Jamie Vardie blew his whistle to prevent a possible Southampton attack and the soon to be Premier League hall of famer bagged a goal as well...........whatever we think of him, it's fair to say he'll be a sad loss to the league when he bows out at the end of the season.
Elsewhere it was 1-1 draws for everybody except The Toffees, who managed a 2-2 draw Tractor Boys Ipswich.
With all of these draws, not to mention Arsenal and Liverpool losses, this was not the finest hour for the majority of us, lots of 3 and 4 point scores for the usual high performers, however, putting us all to shame this week proving once again that "he/she who (picks the) draws wins" with a very respectable 7 points is Craig, but taking the crown this week with an onion bag busting 8 points is Mr Chris Leggett, only Everton and Arsenal letting him down.......well done mate, we rapturously applaud you !!
To see exactly who's where, take a look at the website (link below), but maintaining the top spot is Rob, now 7 points clear of Eli in 2nd and hot on his tail in joint 3rd place we have Simon B and Liam E and pushing for money spots close behind are Paul, Marcus and George.
