One more week to go folks, so for many teams and for some players, this was the last game in front of home fans and as far as going out in style is concerned, you have to tip your hat to Mr Shithousery himself, Mr Jamie Vardie who stepped out for 500th appearance for Leicester City and bagged his 200th goal in the process, helping his beloved Foxes triumph over Tractor Boys 2-0.
Equally as poignant was Everton's final game at Goodison Park, home to The Toffee's since 1892, but moving on to The Hill Dickinson Stadium next season, again, winning 2-0 against relegated, second worst premier league team ever, Southampton.
Kevin de Bruyne waved goodbye to Man City following their 3-1 victory over The Cherries and has apparently ruled out moving to another premier league club this summer.
Europa league finalists Man U and Spurs both saved themselves and the majority of their first 11, going down 1-0 to Chelsea and 2-0 to Aston Villa respectively.
Nuno's Nottm Forest kept themselves in the running for a Champions League spot by the skin of their teeth in their 2-1 away victory to the Hammers and across town in West London, Fulham edged it 3-2 against The Bees.
The Gunners secured 2nd place courtesy of their 1-0 victory against Toon Army Newcastle Utd, meanwhile confirmed champione's Liverpool confirmed they are indeed 'already on the beach', seen off 3-2 by The Seagulls of Brighton & Hove and finally, newly crowned FA Cup champions Crystal Palace continued the party at Selhurst Park, beating the mighty Wolves 4-2.
With one week to go, the much coveted Picks Champ Trophy is ready for it's annual trip to the engravers and the question on everybody's lips is, will we see a prevoius winner's name on there once more ................. all will be revealed next week ??!!
Matchweek 37 was a tight affair, Liverpool and Brentford let most of us down, but we had no less than nine pickers all landing impressive 8 pointers, so please raise a glass and join me in congratulations and rapturous applause for our seasons penultimate, weekly winners (in no particular order), Rob, Kurtis, Eli, Marcus, Ally, Mike, Liam Campbell and both of our Simons, namely McLeay and Bell. Well done fellas, champione's....champione's.....ole, ole, ole !!!
For those of you haven't done so already, please get your picks in, as our final matchweek kicks off in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Liam is busy collating your top / bottom 3 points, along with the bonus question points, here's a reminder of those questions, answers for which will all be revealed after tomorrow's games.
Team with the most red cards.
Team who took the most corners?
Team who finish in 10th place.
2 points for each correctly answered, as well as 2 pionts for your correctly predicted top/bottom 3 finishers (in no order), so 18 extra points up for grabs !!
Good luck for the final week ladies & gents, see you on the other side !!
